Uganda Gorilla trekking is one of the most fascinating tourism activities to indulge in while on a Uganda safari. It takes place at Bwindi impenetrable forest national park and Mgahinga national park both situated with the Virunga massif area.

Bwindi Forest Impenetrable National Park is the most prominent one, this is attributed to the fact that it accommodates almost half the entire mountain gorilla population in the world.

Uganda Gorilla tours are deemed the most interesting and less challenging to undertake this is due to the lower rate of gorilla permits in Uganda than in Rwanda and Congo, ease of access to the park areas, and high probability of seeing the gorillas.

There are a variety of Uganda gorilla tours such as 2days, 3 days, 4 days, 5days, 7 days, 10 days, 14 days among others.

You can choose to go for 2 days tour and your movements will be as described in the article. On your first day, upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be picked up by our company representative who will brief you about your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey is very scenic and will take you through a country of a thousand hills to the Pearl of Africa. You cross over to Uganda at Katuna or Chanika boarder for a stop at Kabale town (Katuna) or Kisoro (Chanika) before proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for overnight at Haven Lodge Rushaga.

On the second day after having your breakfast and with packed lunch done, you will walk to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking. Your guide will take you through all the dos and don’ts while with mountain gorillas and after that, you will be transferred to the starting point of your gorilla family. Gorilla family allocation depends on your interests, fitness and age and please try to inform your guide earlier about your interests and he will try to request for the gorilla family of your choice before you start the trek into the forest. Gorilla trekking can be strenuous and a certain level of fitness is required.  Gorilla trekking can take about 4-5 hours or less those hours depending on where the gorillas are located.

Your guide will try to provide information about everything you will come across in the forest until you reach a given gorilla family allocated to you. You will be allowed only one hour of photography and observing mountain gorillas as they go about with their daily day activities and then trek back to the park headquarters to pick your congratulatory certificates. You will then drive back to Kigali International Airport Rwanda through Katuna or Chanika boarder in order to catch up with your late evening flight and that will call for the end of your 2 days Uganda gorilla tour.

You can also choose to go for a 3 days Uganda gorilla tour. Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will take a morning flight to Bwindi Forest or Mgahinga gorilla national park. You will then be picked up from the airstrip (Kihihi or Kisoro airstrip) and be transferred to your hotel for relaxation in preparation for gorilla trekking. You may opt to go for an afternoon community experience.

In the morning assemble at the park headquarters with your packed lunch for briefing about gorilla trekking activity from the senior park ranger. Proceed for the memorable adventure in the forest. In the forest you walk for some good hours before coming up close to these giants (2-6 hours) depending on the movement of the animals.

After locating the gorillas, guests are allowed an hour in the presence of mountain gorillas.  In the evening, you may go for a community tour to the Batwa village or take a canoe ride on any of the nearby lakes depending on the lodge you will sleep in.  Optional accommodation facilities include Ruhija Gorilla Safari Lodge, Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp, Rushaga Gorilla Safari Lodge, Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge among others.

On your third day, you will drive back to Entebbe airport for your return flight. You will need some good breakfast. Have an enroute lunch at the Igongo cultural center and if time permits, visit the museum just to learn about the history and culture of the Ankole kingdom. Have a stopover at the Equator for some photography and then proceed to Entebbe International Airport to catch up with your flight back home.

You can also decide to go for a 4 Days Bwindi Double Gorilla Trekking. This four days gorilla trekking safari is going to allow you watch two of the many Gorilla groups in this impenetrable forest. Therefore, allowing you 2 hours of interaction with these primates and maybe a community walk to see the Batwa people and see how they live their daily lives.

 On your first day, you will be transferred from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park by our company tour guide. Wake up very early in the morning to hit the road since its along journey to reach Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. During your journey you will have a brief stop in Mbarara town where you will have your lunch at any restaurant and you can also visit the Igongo cultural center for a mini shopping if you are interested. Igongo cultural center is equipped with traditional wearings and properties. While on the road you will then be in sight of Uganda’s other amazing beauties inclusive of which is the beautiful scenery off the city. On reaching the park you will check in at your booked lodge. Optional lodges for dinner and overnight stay include Chameleon Hill lodge, Gorilla Mist Camp, Rushaga Haven Lodge, Ichumbi Gorilla lodge among others.

The second day you are expected to wake up early so as to have breakfast and pick your packed lunch plus drinking water since you ought to have long hours in the forest searching for these apes. You will be expected to be at the park headquarters on time for your briefing about gorilla trekking guidelines and there on head to the forest to engage in your first trek that may take you about 2 to 6 hours depending on the giant’s movement. A full hour is given to you to visualize the animals as they move around and react differently to your visit.

After the trek head back to the park headquarters to receive your trekking certificate and then finally return to the lodge for freshening up and take on a community walk to see the Batwa people and their ways of living. If you get a chance, these known to be forest people (Batwa) will perform for you their cultural dances and songs and you can also participate if you are willing. Then return at the accommodation where you slept at in the previous night for dinner and overnight stay.

On your third day, you will go for a second trek in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will follow the same routine as you did on the first trek only that this time around you will be searching for another gorilla family different from the one you trekked on your first trek. After the gorilla family, take pictures of this group too as you conclude your minutes in the forest. After your last trek head back to the lodge and get prepared to set off to Lake Bunyonyi. On arrival check in at Bunyonyi overland camp for freshening up as your waiting for dinner.

On your fourth day you will transfer back to Kampala. Wake up early enough to have your fantastic breakfast meal and then go for a stunning boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi.  On the boat cruise you will be able to view of some of the islands on this lake as you observe the well terraced hills surrounding the lake and many more scenic views.

Then you will return to the accommodation for check-out and get ready to return back to Kampala. You will have lunch on the way plus other few stop overs that you would love to make as you come to the end of your double trekking safari. On reaching Kampala you will either be dropped at the airport for your flight or to a hotel in case your stay is still on.

You can also opt to go for a 5 days Uganda gorilla tour. This 5 Days Uganda gorilla safari includes trekking endangered mountain gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable national park as the leading experience. It also features a visit to Queen Elizabeth national park for a game drive and a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. At the end of the gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi, visitors may embark on a cultural tour with the Batwa pygmies who live near the park.

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be picked by our company representative who will transfer you to Queen Elizabeth national park via Kampala – Masaka road with a stopover at the equator for photography and Mbarara for lunch at Igongo Cultural center. Later head to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On the arrival, you will check-in at your booked lodge. On the second day enjoy a morning game drive to the northern sector of the park (Kasenyi plains) in search for leopards and lions. As you drive along Kasenyi track expect to encounter big herds of elephants, buffalos, Uganda Kobs, warthogs, Defassa waterbuck, bushbuck and giant forest hogs among others. Return to the lodge for lunch before undertaking a launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel in the afternoon. After lunch go for a launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel. On your third day, after having breakfast transfer to Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park in search of rare tree climbing lions. Head to Savannah Hotel for a hot lunch and later proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for an evening Batwa (Pygmies) community walk. Check-in at Gorilla Forest Camp or Mahogany Springs for dinner and overnight stay.

On the fourth day, wake up very early in the morning for your breakfast and then hike to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for a briefing by the park ranger before commencing (starting) the gorilla trek. At the headquarters you will be divided into different groups of 8 members and each group will be allocated to a gorilla family. Gorilla trekking is a strenuous exercise but ranked the most rewarding wildlife experience. The time taken to encounter these apes ranges from an hour to several hours depending on their movement in the jungle. After locating a gorilla family, you will be given about an hour to watch them in their natural habitats while carrying out their day-to-day lifestyle activities. Trek back to the park headquarters to get your congratulatory certificates and then return to the park for relaxation as your waiting for dinner.

On the fifth day depart for Kampala with a stopover at Igongo cultural center where you will have your delicious meals and later proceed to Entebbe International Airport to catch up with your flight and that will call for the end of your tour.

You can as well go for a 7 days Uganda gorilla tour. The 7 Days Uganda Gorilla safari includes a visit to the mountain gorillas, chimpanzees and the big mammals in the savannah grasslands of Uganda. The community walk is another opportunity to appreciate the unique culture and practices of the local community.

The tour covers mainly the western part of the country known for its great wildlife habitats and captivating scenery. The journey through the terraced hills of Kigezi sub region offers great scenic views as you traverse this picturesque country side with Nature Adventure Africa Safaris.

On the first day, you will embark on your journey to Kibale National Park following the Mubende – Mityana road to Fort Portal. You may have a stopover in Fort Portal for lunch and then proceed to the Bigodi sanctuary wetland for birding and primates watching. Check in for dinner and overnight stay Primate Lodge.

Second day go for Chimpanzee trekking. In the morning transfer to the Kanyanchu park headquarters for briefing as you prepare for Chimpanzee trekking in this tropical forest.  This forest walk may be a great opportunity to encounter primates such as Vervet Monkeys, L’ Hoest’s Monkeys, Black and white colobus Monkeys among others. Return to the lodge for Lunch and spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. You can go for an afternoon visit to the ‘Amabeere ga Nyinamwiru’ caves near the town of Fort portal if time permits though it is optional. Dinner and overnight stay at Primate Lodge.

Third day after having breakfast, you will set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park. On arrival, you will go an afternoon boat cruise along Kazinga Channel.  This Channel joins lake George and Edward and it is a wildlife haven.  Mammal species that you may encounter along Kazinga boat cruise include buffaloes, elephants, Topis, and Kobs among others and these are seen marauding the river banks. You will check in at Mweya Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

The fourth day, you will have a morning game drive as you exit the park through Ishasha sector. On your lucky day, this will be a big opportunity for you to encounter tree-climbing lions. You may have lunch at Savannah Hotel in Kihihi before proceeding to Bwindi. The trip from Queen Elizabeth including a game drive in Ishasha is estimated to take 6 hours and that means you will reach in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the evening. On the arrival, you will check- in at Four Gorillas lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

On the fifth day, you can go for a gorilla habituation experience in Rushaga sector. For gorilla habituation you are advised to book at least 6 months in advance most especially during the peak season. You can book through a trusted tour operator like Nature Adventure Africa Safaris or direct from Uganda Wildlife Authority and it is US$1500 person. Gorilla habituation experience is so different from gorilla trekking because for it allows only 4 people to join the experience per day and once you locate the gorillas, you are allowed to stay for 4 hours while watching these giants in their natural habitats. This will be a full day experience and later you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

On the sixth day, after having your breakfast in the morning, you will be transferred to Lake Mburo National Park. Upon arrival, you will go for a game drive for wildlife viewing opportunities, expecting to see zebras, impalas, elands, buffaloes, giraffes among other animals that are resident in this park. After the game drive, you will check in at Mpogo lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

On the seventh day, you will go for a morning game drive in Lake Mburo National Park including a nature walk to the salt lick is highly rewarding as you anticipate giraffes, zebras, elands, impalas and buffaloes among others.

You may also take-off time for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo where you will see hippo, crocodile, buffalo, waterbuck, bushbuck and otter sightings before transferring to Kampala or Entebbe as you prepare for your scheduled flight to the next destination. That will be the end of your 7 days Uganda gorilla tour.

You choose to go for a 10 days Uganda gorilla tour. The tour takes you to visit some of the most visited sites and national parks in Uganda. This gives you an opportunity to see the Big Five in Murchison Falls National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park, trek gorillas in Bwindi National Park and trek chimpanzees in Kibale National Park. The tour takes you to visit some of the minority groups like the Batwa and also gives you an insight into the different cultures of Uganda- the Pearl of Africa.

Uganda is one of the countries that is least visited but with a lot of tourist attractions and thus there is reduced congestion parks allowing one to get the feeling of being in the Wilderness.

Day one, wake up early in the morning and after your breakfast you will be picked from your hotel by our tour guide for a transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. You may have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola if it is on your program to trek the Rhinos and later continue to the park.

Arrive in Murchison Falls National Park with a visit to the top of the falls for a remarkable sight of the Nile crushing through a narrow gorge of 7 m wide before plunging 43 m deep into the devil’s cauldron. You will then drive to your booked lodge for check in and that’s where you will have your dinner and overnight. Optional lodges include Fort Murchison, Red chillie, Paraa Lodge, Nile Safari Lodge among others.

Day two, after a heavy breakfast, you will embark on an early morning game drive where you are likely to spot animals like Lions, buffaloes, waterbuck, Jackson’s hartebeest, Rothschild’s giraffe, oribi among others.

Return for lunch which will be followed by a breathtaking launch cruise for a wide view of Hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, several water birds such as the shoebill stork, the most sought-after bird in Africa among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day three, after an early breakfast, you will depart for Kibale National Park. The drive goes through the Albertine Escarpment of the western arm of the East African Rift valley with dramatic views of Lake Albert, traditional homesteads and scenic views of the mountains of the moon.

You may reach fort portal in the evening and you will just check-in at Primate Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day four, this morning you will go in search of chimpanzee near Kanyanchu center. Chimpanzees live in communities of about 100 individuals so learn about the physical and behavioral aspects we share in common with them. Check out more primates such as the golden monkey, olive baboons, red Colobus, white and black Colobus monkeys, grey checked mangabey and blue monkeys. The chimpanzee trekking is done in the groups of 6 members and the dividing into groups is done during the briefing at the Kanyanchu information center. Only 1 hour is allowed to be the natural habitat with chimpanzees after locating them. Later you will return to the lodge for freshening up.

Later you explore the atmospheric village of Bigodi accompanied by one of our professional English-speaking field-guides.

The walk will take some good hours depending on the pace of the group. According to your interests, you will first visit a traditional healer who will happily share his knowledge about spirits, herbs, plants and local medicines. This traditional healer it is believed that he gives herbs to baren ones and also those who seeking for financial stableness. Secondly, you can also visit the homes of elderly men and women who tell interesting stories about birth, marriage, ceremonies, clans and their traditional life. Learn more about the history and issues that they face as a developing community of rural Uganda. Along the way, you will also be given the chance to experience the Ugandan school system, visit a local church and Bigodi’s trading centre, a hub of rural life and activity. The field-guides are ready to answer any questions during the walk.

Day five, you will transfer from Kibale National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth National Park is situated at the bottom of Mountain Rwenzori which is among the finest mountain ranges in the world.

On your way to the park, you might see a number of wild animals plus birds since this park hosts approximately 100 species of mammals and an outstanding 600 species of birds.

On arrival, you will check-in at Marafiki Safari Lodge for lunch and relax as you prepare for the next day’s activity. You will have dinner and overnight stay at the same lodge.

Day six, after a cup of coffee, begin the day with a game drive in the Kasenyi plains that may lead you to see bush buck, Uganda Kob, topi, Defassa waterbuck, and Cape buffaloes, Lions, elephants and many more. You will later return at the lodge for some snacks, relax as you wait for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will enjoy an afternoon boat ride along the Kazinga Channel for a wide view of yawning hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, various bird species such as red chest, papyrus Gonolek, pink backed pelicans, malachite kingfishers, yellow crown, water thick-knee, yellow-billed stork, shoe bill stock among others. Return at the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day seven, after a heavy breakfast, you will depart for Bwindi impenetrable national park- a home to half of the endangered Mountain gorillas in the world.

It is a scenic drive with an en route game drive in Ishasha sector that offers an opportunity of viewing the rare tree climbing lions at a closer range and later continue to Bwindi with lunch en route. Arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight stay at Haven Lodge Buhoma.

Day eight, after breakfast, depart to the starting point for briefing about your gorilla trekking adventure after which you will be led by experienced gorilla trekkers on the slopes of the volcanoes. You will start from the site where the gorillas were encountered the day before and from here the gorilla trekking begins.

Although the hike can be physically demanding, the anticipation of the exciting experience ahead is amazing and the beauty of the gorilla forest and its inhabitants are fascinating.

Later return to the lodge for lunch and later go for a visit to Batwa community to see how they live.

The Batwa community walk in Bwindi take you to Batwa local communities where you learn more about their forest life. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day nine, after having breakfast, you will take a scenic drive to Lake Bunyonyi taking you through the beautiful terrain of the rolling hills with terraced landscape.

A short drive leads you to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi where you can relax and enjoy some reflection time. With its fresh water, bilharzias-free and beautiful landscapes, Lake Bunyonyi is a small paradise for travelers and good for a swimming activity.

You can also go for a canoe trek as well as bird watching on the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi. Check-in at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort for dinner and overnight stay.

Day ten, after morning breakfast, park your bags and you will be driven back to Entebbe for your flight back home with a stopover at the Equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in 2 hemispheres at the same time and take some photos, then another stops over at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers where you will be able to watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using traditional methods passed down through the generations.

You can also go for a 14 days Uganda gorilla tour. This 14-days Uganda gorilla trekking tour will take you from central to the south and then to the northern parts of Uganda giving you a chance to explore the major tourism destinations. On this 14 days gorilla trekking tour you will an opportunity to trek and see the primates including gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, chimpanzees in Kibale National Park. You will also have a visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, Kidepo National Park and Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to spot the big five. This 14 days tour the start and end will be in Kampala or Entebbe.

On your first day, you will be picked up by our company representative (tour guide/driver) from Entebbe International Airport or from your hotel. This person will brief you about the tour and then you set off to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will have a stopover at Equator for some photography and later continue to Mbarara to have your lunch. After lunch you will proceed your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park reaching in the evening and check in at Rushaga Gorilla Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

On your second day after having your breakfast you will head to the park head quarters for briefing from the experienced guides who will allocate you a gorilla family group to trek that day. After the rangers dividing you into groups of 8 members, they will lead you into the impenetrable forest to start searching for a group allocated to you. On your trek, you will come across various species such as monkeys and bird species. The gorilla search always starts from where they were last seen the previous day. Upon reaching these giants you will be allowed to interact with them for only one hour and the interaction should be done in a silence way. You will be allowed to take pictures but with a no flash light camera.

After allocating the gorilla family, you will trek back to the headquarters to receive your trekking certificates that clearly indicate that you participated in the experience. Return to the lodge for lunch and spend the next hours relaxing as your waiting for dinner.

On your third day after having breakfast, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with enroute stopovers for sightseeing reaching in afternoon and check in at Elephant Hab Lodge for lunch and relaxing. Later you will go for an evening game drive to search for late grazers such as elephants, lions, leopards and buffalos and after return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

On your fourth day after having breakfast, you will drive to kasenyi plains for morning game drive to search for early bird wildlife. Some of the animals you will spot include elephants, leopards, buffalos, lions, bushbuck, Kobs, antelopes among others. The morning drive will take about 3 hours and later you go to mweya peninsular for lunch, relax and head for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel and here you will have a chance to spot animals as they enjoy on the shores of the channel. Animals like hippos will be seen swimming and also the Nile crocodiles will be spotted. Return to the lodge for relaxation as your waiting for dinner.

The fifth day after having breakfast, you can visit Katwe salty lake and after you will transfer to Kibale National Park with a stopover for lunch enroute on the way to the national park. On the arrival, you will go for a nature walk through Bigodi swamp where you will see monkey and bird species. Kibale National Park is endowed with a lot of primate and bird species and hence making it a popular destination for birders and primate lovers. After the nature walk, you will check-in at your booked hotel for dinner and overnight stay. Optional lodges include chimpanzee guest house, mountain of the moon, Kyaninga lodge, primates lodge among others.

On the sixth day, you will go with your packed lunch to the park head quarters for a briefing about rules and regulations followed during gorilla habituation experience.  This experience is booked in advance and its US$300 and it can be booked through a trusted tour operator like Nature Adventure Africa Safaris. After the briefing, you will start trekking in the forest with an experienced park guide who is conversant with different trails. Chimpanzee habituation experience takes a whole day and it’s only done with a maximum number of 4 people per day.

During habituation experience, you will be able to view other primates like grey cheeked mangabey, black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, view different tree species, colorful butterflies, spot different bird species among others. Once chimpanzees are found, you will be able to spend 4 hours with them in their natural habitat where you will be able learn and monitor their behaviors, learn how to identify different chimpanzees, watch them while carrying out their daily activities like feeding, hunting, copulating, breastfeeding, resting, patrolling, take pictures of chimpanzees doing different activities among others. You will have your lunch after finding the chimpanzees but in a distance. Trek back to the headquarters to get your certificates and later return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

On the seventh day, you will meet your driver and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. On the arrival, you will have a visit to the top of the falls and later go for an evening game drive to search for late grazer and proceed to Pakuba Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

On the eighth day, you will go for a morning game drive that will give you an opportunity of spotting big five such as lions, leopards, buffalos, elephants among others. Return to the lodge for lunch and freshening up. After lunch you can for a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls to witness how river Nile squeezes itself in the narrow gorge before exploding. On the boat cruise you will be able to spot hippos, reptiles, crocodiles among others. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

On the nineth day, in the morning you can choose to go for a hot air ballon experience. To participate in hot air balloon there is minimum age of 6 years unless it’s a request from the parent. Hot air balloon experience may take about 3-4 hours and starts in the morning hours. After this experience you can return back to the lodge for a late breakfast, relax as you wait for lunch. In evening you can have a cultural encounter. Cultural encounters in Murchison Falls National Park usually take place in the morning or evening but since in the morning you were participating in a different experience, you choose to have a cultural encounter in the evening. Usually, a lodge hires cultural performers to entertain you in the evening around the campfire. When you done with the campfire storytelling, you can go and sleep.

On the tenth day, you will fly from Murchison to Kidepo National Park. Arriving at Apoka airstrip, you will be transferred to Kidepo savannah lodge for lunch, freshen up, relax and later in the evening go for a game drive. On the game drive, you will spot a variety of mammal species such as buffaloes, elephants, zebras, giraffes, waterbucks, bushbucks, Uganda Kobs, Bohor reedbucks, oribi, Jackson’s hartebeest, hippos, elands, kudus among others which will be grazing in the open savannah plains and bird species. Later return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

On the eleventh day you will spend the whole day on a game drive in the Narus Valley and you will go with your packed lunch. Narus Valley is a rolling, grassland plain enclosed with distant mountains. The valley has permanent water. Some of the creatures that you will come across include lions, Jackson’s hartebeest, buffaloes, giraffes, oribis and reedbucks. Cheetahs and leopards can also be spotted but on a lucky day. Narus dam is a perfect base for spotting wildlife in Kidepo Valley National Park most especially during the dry season. After a tiresome long day, you can return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. On that day you will have morning and evening game drives.

Day 12, you will go for a nature walk in Kidepo Valley National Park. Nature walk starts from Apoka tourism office. This is an interesting activity which gives visitors an opportunity to explore the park on foot. During the nature walk you will accompanied by an experienced guide who is well conversant with the walking trails in the park. Nature walks in this park are conducted in different areas such as Narus Valley, Namamukweny valley, Kidepo plains which lead to Morungole mountains where will meet the IK people. The IK people are an ethnic group or tribe native to northeastern Uganda near the Kenyan border. They are primarily subsistence farmers who live in small clan villages in the area surrounding Mount Morungole in the Kaabong district. During the nature walk, you will be able to spot animals like elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, zebras, giraffes among others. You will also spot different bird species such as ostriches, Kori bustard, red and yellow barbet, Karamoja Apalis, pygmy falcon, white bellied go away bird, red throated bee-eater, Jacksons hornbill, black breasted barbet, chestnut weaver among others. After the nature walk, you can return to the lodge for lunch. You can spend the remaining hours relaxing as your waiting for dinner.

Day 13, after having your breakfast, check out at the lodge and drive again back to Narus Valley for a simple game drive as you pave a way to the Karamajong community. In the Karamajong community you will interact with the Karamajong people known as the famous keepers. They will explain to you about their culture and also if your lucky they will dance for you. After the visit you will proceed to Gulu where you will have your dinner and overnight stay. In Gulu, you can check-in at any hotel or lodge such as Dich Comfort Hotel, Church Hill Hotel among others.

On your last day (14th day), you will drive back to Kampala with an enroute Rhino trek at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. After trekking, you will have lunch and later proceed to Entebbe International Airport to catch up with your flight back home. Nature Adventure Africa Safaris is eagerly waiting to serve you.
