Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park is Tanzania’s must visit popularly known for the annual great migration of over a thousand Wilde beests and other Wild animals which include Zebras, Gazelles and more. It was established in 1929 and later gazetted in 1951, Serengeti National Park of Tanzania was declared as a UNESCO World heritage site in 1981.

It covers a total Area of 14,763 km² including grassland plains, savanna, riverine forest, woodland between 920–1,850 m. Its known as a major habitat for wide range of different Wildlife species including wildebeest, zebra, lion, leopard, elephant, rhinoceros, buffalo, cheetah, gazelle, giraffe, spotted hyena, jackal, aardwolf, serval, agama lizard, rock hyrax, secretary bird, ostrich, and black eagle . Most visited park in Tanzania; famous for massive migration of ungulates with more than 500 bird species
