Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of Tanzania’s popular game reserves which was established in 1959, reserved for provision of habitat to wide range of different Wildlife species. It was declared as a UNESCO World heritage site in 1979 covering a total Area of 8,288 km² grassland, lakes, swamp, woodland, heath, dense mountain forest.

Some of Wild species in this reserve include wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, black rhinoceros, lion, hartebeest, spotted hyena, hippopotamus, buffalo, elephant, mountain reedbuck, leopard, serval, ostrich, kori bustard, papilio many archeological and paleontological sites including Olduvai Gorge, Laetoli, Lake Ndutu.
